Our last day as a family of 4

Today, the last day before the triplets arrive, has been a bittersweet day in the Sherwin house. Of course we are elated about the arrival of our precious new babies, but it cannot be disregarded that every aspect of our entire lives are going to change. The most significant change will be the attention that we will be able to pay to our sweet little twins. There’s no denying the fact that there will be many times that we cannot give them the attention and love that they deserve. In fact, this thought was really the only difficult part of seeing three babies on that first sonogram. Would my sweet Amari and crazy Keona be okay with sharing mommy and daddy? The answer is quite honestly…no, they probably won’t be. But just as we will, they will adjust to their new normal and they will be the best big sisters.

With that being said, today was about quality time, hugs, snuggles, and loving on these girls before their world gets flipped upside down tomorrow. One last day for me to soak up the idea of having an equal numbers of arms as I do children. I have no doubt they will love their siblings, but they will need time to adjust. We all will.

I will keep this short and sweet and leave you with some pictures and adorable videos of our last day as a family of four. (I’m sorry that a few videos are turned sideways.. technology doesn’t always cooperate with me). I am being told that I need to get a few hours of sleep before we head to the hospital at 5am. How do I sleep knowing that in just a few short hours I will be holding three miracles in my arms?!

Stay tuned for more Shernanigans coming tomorrow (later this morning) as we FINALLY get to meet our triplets. LOTS of pictures coming ASAP!
